Many publishers have been annoyed by the problem where the "top channels" reporting link in the AdSense account control panel on the overview page stopped working just under a month ago. This was a handy feature nearly every publisher used to be able to quickly see what the top earning channels are, without having to pull a full report and manually sorting them by earnings amount. There was a "top channels" workaround, but it was still a few extra steps required by publishers who were just looking for a quickie snapshot of what the account is doing.
The issue has been corrected, and the "top channels" link on the overview page (the page you land on after logging into your AdSense account) will not automatically sort and display the top channels based on overall earnings amount.
I am happy this has been fixed, although I am surprised it took so long for it to be corrected. I heard from many webmasters who consider this the most important part of the AdSense control panel, well, other than the little tool that generates the javascript to actually display the ads So when you login to your account, you should see that the problem has been resolved and your top earning channels will be displayed, instead of the random assortment of channels that has been showing for the past few weeks.
The feature broke right around the same time that some new changes and features to the control panel were announced, so there was speculation that something in the change was related to the "top channels" failing to work properly. So we might be able to expect some new shiny toys to play with in our AdSense accounts soon!
